6 more days until I match into a residency - minutes have never passed so slowly.  My time in D school and in PA is slowly drawing to an end.  If all things go to plan I’ll graduate in 3 months - which is both excites and terrifies me.  It’s hard not to reflect on the past just as it’s equally difficult not to ponder upon the future - which kinda reminds me of this quote:
Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. And today? Today is a gift. That’s why we call it the present. - Babatunde Olatunji
A few days ago out of boredom I pulled out my box of paracord stuff (which I haven’t touched in forever) and started crafting things again.  I made myself a new bracelet using the Turks-Head knot which I just learned - the design is often called the Nantucket bracelet or a friendship bracelet (I’m guessing it’s called the latter because the rope intertwines in a continuous pattern without an end or a beginning?).  I want to make a multicolored one but I’m still figuring out how to add in different strands of color without interrupting the pattern.  I’m pretty happy with the results and I think I’m going to start wearing this one instead of the black one I made awhile ago.

Don’t understand a word of mandarin, but it’s almost more fun that way

A four by nine meter video dome surrounds the player as they stand on an omni-directional treadmill that lets you walk wherever you want to go. Ten infra-red motion tracking cameras and a sensor on your gun enables the picture to follow where you point it and a Kinect hack controls your jumping and crouching. The fun doesn’t stop there — 12 paintball markers mean that every time you get shot in the game, you’ll feel it. ”

Ridiculously cool or a bit over the top?!?!  They had me right up until I saw the paintball markers… while that may add to the realism of the simulation, having played paintball for a number of years I’ve been shot with paintball guns at close range and they don’t just tickle O.o, I think that’d probably get old real fast

Despite knowing all the horrible things he had done, I still don’t believe his life deserved to end in such a violent and terrifying manner.  Doing evil onto others doesn’t undo the evil they’ve done.  Even hunters of men should have some compassion.  Sadly stories like these seem more common now adays, the world is such a scary place now adays.

Warning: Link is graphic

Nothing swims against the current for long - idk who said this, I might have made it up?

(Vid unreleated, just something I’ve that popped up on my playlist that I enjoyed)

Thank you sir… may I have another

I was soo excited at being done after finally finishing my PASS application the past week only to find out that most GPR have supplementary applications and require a ridiculous amount of documents be mailed in directly to each program (CV, class rank, NBDE scores - even tho my dental transcripts have them, etc).  :-(  What’s the point of me writing an application essay if I have to write another essay for your supplementary application!?!?  Also most of them require my undergrad transcripts >_< which I have to have UCI mail out at $15 a pop.

Part of me wants to give up… bleh
